Executive Women International (EWI), a non-profit organization, was established in California in 1938 when Lucille Johnson Perkins recognized the importance and potential of an association of key women working with their executives to promote their firms and improve their community. Over 2700 companies and 2000 representatives (male and female) are members of EWI today in 68 Chapters located in major cities in the United States and Canada. EWI is the premier organization for networking and leadership development for today's business professionals and their firms.

EWI offers two scholarship programs, EWISP and ASIST, to help qualified applicants to achieve their academic goals. Each chapter conducts its EWISP and/or ASIST program and develops its own criteria regarding deadlines, limiting areas, schools, and agencies they partner with.  Applicants must first apply and be selected through local Chapters but also have an opportunity to be selected for additional scholarship monies through the Corporate office.

Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST):

  • Open to adult students at transitional points in their lives
  • Applicants may be single parents, individuals just entering the workforce or displaced workers
  • In 2012, EWI of Phoenix is offering a $5,000 ASIST scholarship
