Dear EWI Colleagues:

Welcome EWI to 2012......It's going to be a wonderful year!

The State of Arizona is celebrating 100 years of statehood in the United States of America and The Phoenix Chapter of EWI is celebrating 55 years of community service and involvement as a professional organization. That is quite a rich heritage to say the least, one I am very proud to be a part of.

With each New Year comes an opportunity to evolve as individuals. We often strive to change or improve some aspect of our personal or professional lives. Most of us though are always on the path of continual self-improvement. An important lesson we all need to embrace is that one of the best New Year's resolutions we can make is to accept ourselves for who we are. Maybe our lesson this year is to not only love who we truly are as a person, but to also embrace who we are not, as well.

We have many excellent activities planned for this year. I am glad each of you will be a part of what's to come. You are all making a difference in the lives of fellow EWI colleagues, individuals at work, people we know and cherish at home and for others in the communities in which we work and live.

I attended an inspirational service at church Christmas Evening.....more to come on that at our upcoming event!! But the inspiration was not about church, nor on what we do day to day, nor was the message about the Holidays. The inspiration was all about how we can we help others, all year, when there is a need. What can we give others? To me, it fully embraced who we are as an organization. EWI is a collection of diverse Professional women and men (thank you Ben for being part of our group) who help others. This includes mentoring each other through our committee roles and board positions, helping each other improve and learn as professionals. This organization is tremendous for personal and career development as well, but most effective when you get involved. Thank you for all you do to help me make 2012 a terrific and productive year for all of us and our careers, business endeavors and families.

Let me know how I can serve you even more. I am not the "President" of this group but a humble servant who is here to support each of you. I am also very appreciative of EWI and its proud heritage of Excellence.

At your service,

Kellie Wise
