OK, I now have a new favorite place to eat! Kokopelli's Roast Beef is amazing, the wine is great also and best of all more of the dollars spent their stay in Arizona since it is a local restaurant, one of my passions. Hearing from Dr. Glenna McCollum one of our ASIST judges and President of the new Chandler University was a great treat. I look forward to watching this new school grow and become an important school not just in Chandler or Arizona, but for the whole world.

My year as President is winding down and I have been reflecting back on my year and all the thoughts and feelings that I have gone through since Kerry Feltenberg asked me to be her Vice President/ President Elect. At that time I thought are you kidding me I can't do that! Then it was wow this V.P. time went by OK and was easy. Then onto Presidents Caucus and bonding with my fellow Presidents, sharing ideas and learning how to run the chapter. Moving onto running the meetings and not fearing the microphone, you all are easy to talk to-thanks. Then for a time I felt like I was not done and had more to do for the chapter then this last month I know I am done. Not that it's been bad it's just time for a change. Change can sometimes be hard sometimes it can be rewarding or a time of renewal. I still have many things that I would like to help the chapter achieve and I know that I can still help do those things even as I turn over the office to Kellie. All that said if you asked me again I would say SURE! It's been fun, rewarding, full of growth not just me but my business, my husband, my staff and my chapter. We have all member firms with representatives and we are now up to 41 member firms.

Kellie Wise of Edward Jones & Valerie Flores of Nickel Lithographics will be heading off to Minneapolis for their President / V.P. training at the Leadership Summit and Lillian Gilmer of APS, Stephany Lane of Macayos and I will join them for LCAM. As I head off, I want to remind you all that on the corporate website there is a year's worth outstanding webinars. Many of these are on running the chapter and are full of great information, others are from past and maybe future LCAM speakers. I encourage you to take a look at them. Most are less than 1 hour and will help you have a better understanding of the current structure of EWI.

I am thankful for all the great support and understanding I had from all of you. That really did help make this last year go by fast and smoothly. I can't wait to see and hear what Kellie Wise has in store for us; I know she will be a great President as she was an amazing Vice President.
