A huge thank you to Don Storrs, Barbara Kendrick-Opre of Wolz Florist and Diane & Greg Robins of Arizona Nights for 2 great firm nights in 1. Don taught those that wanted to how to make a floral arrangement and Diane taught some gambling tips & tricks. If your firm has not had a chance to host a firm night it is a great way to showcase your business. Wasn't it fun giving away $6000?! Emis sounds like a little power house and I am sure she will do well with her endeavors in helping Education in Arizona. Lisa has great plans a well and was interesting to hear her talk about becoming a surgical assistant.

August is our business meeting for the Chapter. Please make every effort to attend so you can be a part of the important discussions regarding our Chapter. We also will be voting on the proposed slate of officers, the future leaders of our Chapter, and discussing the Bylaw changes that have been proposed by EWI Corporate for discussion at the Annual Meeting in Minneapolis this September. I will be emailing out a link that has the 2011/12 proposed corporate budget as well as the By Law Proposals. Each Board member will also be sending out their board reports for you to review. If you wish you may bring your copies to the meeting.

At the July 26th board meeting we decided to change the day that each member must let the Sergeant-at- Arms know if they will not be attending each months meeting. The new deadline is the Tuesday the week before any chapter meeting. If you fail to cancel your standing reservation prior to this date your firm will be charged for the dinner. Remember that each representative must attend and/or pay for a minimum of 7 meetings per year in accordance to our standing rules. Not meeting these requirements may jeopardize the firm's membership in EWI.
