Wow, January sure flew by. Our January meeting was full with the reports and our speaker Rhonda Bannard from Inspired Connections; I just wish we would have had more time to have her speak. I found her talk to be very interesting as much of what she was talking about we try to practice at my business and have since we first opened in 1990.

Jennifer Burns 2010/2011 Chapter PresidentAs we move more into the New Year we also are getting closer to our annual March fundraiser. This year it will be held at Rustlers Roost on March 26th. From what I have been told they have an awesome view of the valley and a large area for functions. Sondra has been busy getting the ground work started and will be getting the committee going in the next few days. Silent Auction items are starting to come in, and the gaming is all lined up thanks to Diane Robbins of Arizona Nights. I hear she will be bringing some gaming that we have not had before.

I am challenging everyone in the chapter to bring in at least 3 auction items as well as items to put in the goodie bags that Janet will put together, these are always a hot seller so let's make them super special. We also need to all start selling raffle tickets and start asking family, friends and co workers to join us for a fun filled action packed fundraiser! The more people that we can get to come the more dollars we can raise and that is the name of the game. To truly have a successful fundraiser we need to get as many people outside of EWI to come and who knows they could also become a new member!

Congratulations to Edward Jones for being #2 on Fortune magazine list of the top 100 places to work! Our first firm night of the year is this month at the Edward Jones Tempe office. We have several more this year and they are always a great way for us to learn more about our member firms.

I look forward to seeing all of you in a few weeks and have a Happy Valentine's day!
