 I also would like to thank Annette Hannah and Cynthia Shobe for planning such an outstanding event at Brookdale Place Retirement Community. It was something that I will never forget. There were 125 people in attendance in the dining room. While they ate, they were listening, singing and dancing to the music provided by Jim Hannah (donated to the chapter), and as always Jim was wonderful. Each person either received a beautiful corsage or a boutonnière that was made by our own Linda Brooks (144 of them). A big thank you to Linda for all your hard work. The theme for the event was a Luau, so each person also received a lei. The tables were decorated and all the staff wore Hawaiian shirts. There were 10 EWI people in attendance along with some husbands and family. It was awesome to see what a good time the guests were having and to hear their stories. However, we do have a dancing Queen in our chapter and that would be Annette. There was a guest that loved to dance and Annette was out there just dancing her feet off. As the guest left they all commented on how much fun they had and ask us to come back again. It was a wonderful for day for our guests and for our members. Next month we will be meeting at Lantana Grill at the Point Hilton Squaw Peak Resort. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Donese Worden. Dr. Worden is an Arizona based physician and a global health educator. For almost a decade she has been working with clients to achieve optimal health and energy using natural therapies and minimal drugs. She will be speaking to us on women's common issues and stress reduction in our daily lives. I can't wait to hear her suggestions because we all know how much stress we all have in our daily lives in our current environment. Please find the information on our guest speaker for Saturday July 25, 2009 at the Arizona Grand Resort. The July meeting has been moved to Saturday so that we can optimize the attendance to hear Lori Giovannoni speak. For those that have not heard her speak you are in for a real treat. She is AWESOME!!! We have invited the Tucson Chapter and the San Diego Chapter so that they can take advantage of rare event. I encourage you to invite people from your member firm to attend as this is where we bring value back to the firm. She will be speaking on Success Redefined and a in depth look at the behaviors required to be successful in today's world of lay-offs, down-sizing and rapid organizational change. I think these subjects are something that applies to everyone now days. Please mark this on your calendar and plan to attend. As you can see this meeting charge is $40.00 for members including Sustaining, Life Members and their member firms. This was necessary in order to cover the cost for the day. For those of you that have been unable to attend annual meeting you will experience the quality of speakers that are at annual meeting. You will be hearing more over the next month regarding this meeting and our outstanding speaker. I look forward to seeing everyone at Lantana Grill on June 16th and to hearing our guest speaker..
