Donations and Golfers Wanted

The Phoenix Chapter of EWI is seeking cash, raffle, and door prize donations for a Golf Fundraiser to be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Arizona Grande Resort. 

 

Par Sponsorships can also be purchased for $125 which includes Tee-Box Signage advertising your company on one hole.

 

Birdie Sponsorships are $525 for signage advertising your company on one hole plus one golf foursome.

 

Or, if you'd like to play golf, the cost is $100;  Lunch only -  $25.

 

Golfers of all skill levels are encouraged to sign up for the tournament which includes a Starter Breakfast, Lunch, Longest Drive, Closest to Pin, Casino Hole and a chance to win a 2011 Chevrolet provided by Midway Chevrolet.

 

Proceeds from this event will fund our Business Career Development Programs including our Annual Reading Rally, Adopt-A-Family, Shoebox Ministries and other philanthropic endeavors.

EWISP Winner Awarded Additional Scholarship Funds

Kathryn Biegel, a senior at Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona was awarded a $5000 scholarship by the Phoenix Chapter of Executive Women International (EWI) in April.

 

Ms. Biegel was ranked first in her junior class of 755 and in addition to her academic achievements, she is an award-winning athlete, an accomplished musician, an active member of her church youth league, a community volunteer and swim instructor. She placed second in national competition for the World Scholars Cup International Competition in her sophomore year resulting in an invitation for her team to represent the United States in Singapore. Ms. Biegel would like to pursue a career in law as an attorney or judge.

 

As first place winner in the Phoenix Chapter EWISP competition, Ms. Biegel was automatically entered at the national EWISP level where she was awarded an additional $2500.

 

EWISP is an annual competition-based program open to all juniors attending Maricopa County high schools.  The competition is based on academics, leadership qualities, citizenship and extra-curricular activities as well as written and oral communication skills; the winner was chosen by a panel of independent judges.

Delegates Nominated

The Phoenix Chapter of Executive Women International has nominated President Kerry Feltenberg, Arizona Grand Resort, and Vice-President/President Elect, Jennifer Burns, Bell Signs as Delegates for the EWI 63rd Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting.  This conference will be held September 23-25, 2010 in Kansas City, Mo.


 

Executive Women International Members Attend Open Houses

On Tuesday, July 20, 2010, the Phoenix Chapter of EWI was treated to a tour of Member Firm Bell Signs located at 5115 W. Bell Road, Ste D, Glendale, AZ. Owner, Jenni Burns hosted the tour and explained the different processes. Bell Signs offers a wide range of products and services including Banners, Vehicle Signage, Decals, Labels. EWI's newest member firm, Wolzs Florist, held an open house on Thursday, July 22 at 4371 W. Bell Rd, Glendale, AZ. Visitors were treated to a tour of the facility, as wll as an open bar provided by Arizona Nights Bartending, casino tables provided by Arizona Nights Casino, snacks provided by Skye Restaurant in Peoria, door prizes, and special in-store surprises. Senior Prom

On Saturday, May 22 the Phoenix Chapter of Executive Women International will host the Second Annual 'Senior Prom' at Brookdale Place of Paradise Valley, 13240 N. Tatum Blvd., Paradise Valley. EWI will be treating the residents of this assisted living facility to a Hawaiian themed party complete with corsages, boutonnières, decorations, and dancing.
